Karen’s 23 Years of Faithful Giving!

Over the last 30 years, there have been many loyal contributors, like you, who have stood by us, ready to help the underserved children in our community. Some of you have taken the next step in your giving journey by supporting our philanthropic division, Changing Lives with Legacy. By giving both your Arizona tax credit and a traditional donation, you continue to make quality Catholic education a possibility for families right here in Arizona who would not be able to access it.

Karen is one of these faithful supporters of our organization.

For Karen, Catholic education is the foundation her whole life was built on. Karen grew up in a family that valued it so deeply that her parents moved across the street from Christ the King Catholic School just so she and her siblings could walk to class and attend daily Mass. Since 2003, Karen has directed that same devotion into her support of Catholic Education Arizona, directing her Arizona tax credit dollars year after year to make sure underserved children across the state have access to a Catholic education.

Karen’s upbringing in the church shaped everything that followed. She went on to spend two decades teaching Adult Faith Formation and Religious Education at St. Catherine of Siena, helping young adults grow in their faith and find the confidence to share it with others.

Karen expanded her commitment even further by joining our philanthropic division, Changing Lives with Legacy, helping meet scholarship needs that go beyond what tax credits alone can cover.

Twenty three years in, Karen’s generosity tells a simple story: one person’s steady, faithful commitment can open doors for generation after generation of students.

Since 1998, over $403 million has been raised, and more than 165,000 scholarships have been awarded. Catholic Education Arizona changes lives one scholarship at a time through Arizona tax credits, traditional donations, and legacy gifts.
